In 100 words or less tell us how you are a leader
I founded and am the Executive Director of a not for profit organization called Institute for Families. We offer support, counseling, advocacy and education to families at perhaps the most difficult time in their lives, when a catastorphic illness
strikes their infant or unborn fetus. As the clinical director I have the privilege of hearing the innermost feelings and thoughts of the bravest people on the earth. I am honored to be trusted by the.

My passion, persistence and patience have driven me to want to grow my organization buy building a stronger infrastructure and having a succession plan that will allow the program exist in perpetuity. I would also like to mentor others so that this program can exist in all major medical centers around the country. There is no fee, or insurance needed,, only a knock on the door or a telephone call. We have believed from the beginning over 20 years ago, it you build it they will come and they continue to come by the hundreds.

Divorce among these families exceeds 82% as families are fractured by the devastation of a catastrophic illness. We help families to build bridges rather than erect walls. I was honored to participate in the Women Rule Leadership weekend and will carry each woman I met in my heart foreverr.

Are you on Facebook and LinkedIn?

I would like to connect with you there also. I am trying to make more friends and fans so that I can spread awareness for breast cancer during pregnancy. I was diagnosed Stage 3 in the 5th month of my pregnancy in May. My status updates on Facebook and LinkedIn are usually about my fight.

Hey Nancy!
Good to hear from you. I suspect your emails are suspended somewhere in the ethers, but now we're in contact. Let me know about your radical doll idea. I love hearing about anything that has to do with dolls. XO, Christina

Got your message--I agree with Andrea--You are more computer saavy than you give yourself credit for!! Thanks for the positive comments about Companies to Classrooms--that's what keeps me going especially when I've been trying to raise more funding which is what I've been working on since returning from the conference. Always a humbling experience. Look forward to talking with you more. Cary

Hey, Nancy.
It was comforting to know that there was at least one other person who was as terrified as I was to speak in front of a video camera! I think we scaredy-cats did great!
If you'd like to be on the list of the California Contingent of WomenRulers, please let me know and I'll add you on.
All the best,
Christina

Women Rule!
Warmest welcome from a sister and friend,
Who will stand with you in spirit to the very end.
What a powerful witness you have to share,
So know that this sister will lift you up with prayers.
Be encouraged and hopeful in every way,
Feel free to whisper, sing or shout joyfully throughout the day:
Women rule!
If we band together in one clear voice,
We can crescendo together in a joyful noise.
The melody of women, who collaborate and work together,
Will send a resounding message that will last forever.
Women rule!

PS: Please feel free to grace my page with your words of wisdom, a poem, a thought or even a kind word of encouragement for all women to see. Blessings to you now and always!
