Hi Morgan:

Studying Government is so cool, the pieces of the puzzle all fit together sometimes and you can see why some countries have evolved under certain types of government (China=totalitarian) and the problems that arise when countries try a paradigm shift say from communism to capitalism. The fact that they both start with the letter "C" is about the only thing they have in common with each other :-).

Do you have a favourite genre in English or time period you prefer over others?

I guess if you are going to be quartermaster you can come up with wildly exotic names for everyday dishes for those you are responsible for just to break the monotony of MRE's such as "Lady Chatterly's Love Muffins" for bran muffins for instance :-).
Some might appreciate the humour some may be not so much.

Take Good Care,

Thanks for writing back,

Elizabeth

Hi Morgan:

You raise an interesting point with being the eldest in the family and being "born" into a leadership role. I am also the eldest of three girls in my family and was forced at an early age to lead because my mom faced a variety of illnesses throughout her life.

I see by the other posts you are heavily involved in TWHP, what are you studying at Georgetown? What will your posting be when you graduate from school? Do you spent your summers in the reserves? Sorry for the questions but I am curious to know about my fellow posters.

Cheers,

Elizabeth Templeton

Right now I am at the WHP offices (day two of a winter internship). The staff is wonderful, just as you said. Passionate. Welcoming. Funny!
Wish you were around!

In 100 words or less tell us how you are a leader
As a US Army officer in training I am a leader by trade and profession. As an older sister, my entire childhood was composed of me being "in charge". This of course means taking responsiblity for my actions as well as the actions of those around me. Besides having the aforementioned attributes of responsibility and maturity, I understand that a good leader is also a servant. I have committed myself to a life of public service. I look forward to being a leader, but I know that sometimes a leader must also follow.
