In 100 words or less tell us how you are a leader
I have worked with thousands of women during my career as a teacher for women who wanted change in their life. Since taking the White House training in Washington state, I have been a community organizer and am now running for a City Council seat. I have an online radio site, sisterspace.net. We have partnered with womensradio.com to be a powerful media voice to change the stories about women, decision priorities, leadership definition and women’s support of other women. 5trf

2009 The Year of Women Leadership

I am very excited at the possibilities that await our country and world this next year. I believe that in order for the changes to happen, women must be at the forefront of decision making on all levels of living. As i schedule Women Leadership Events across the state of Washington during the Spring and then out into the country during 2009, I am aware that I see the goal and I can hold the space. It is my sisters who will make it happen and that is exciting!

Women Rule!
Warmest welcome from a sister and friend,
Who will stand with you in spirit to the very end.
What a powerful witness you have to share,
So know that this sister will lift you up with prayers.
Be encouraged and hopeful in every way,
Feel free to whisper, sing or shout joyfully throughout the day:
Women rule!
If we band together in one clear voice,
We can crescendo together in a joyful noise.
The melody of women, who collaborate and work together,
Will send a resounding message that will last forever.
Women rule!

PS: Please feel free to grace my page with your words of wisdom, a poem, a thought or even a kind word of encouragement for all women to see. Blessings to you now and always!

Is it really a glass ceiling or is it impenetrable Plexiglas? Is it a carefully fashioned allusion keeping us POC’s hopeful, making us believe we truly have access so we will stay in line? What has been your experience as a woman of color?

A place to explore the interchange of faith, gender and social activism. What does it mean to be a woman of faith in these times? What does our faith say about our struggles as women and creators?
