Sera Rivers, mother of a child with nonverbal learning disability, is passionate about educating parents on their rights in special education. Sera founded of the grassroots project Diagnosing Parents Rights. The website http://www.diagnosingparentsrights.com provides support for parents of children with disabilities. “If we don’t advocate for our children, no one will. Know your rights.” In addition, Sera writes the Chicopee Special Needs Kids column for the online Boston Examiner.
