I believe that all women should have access to income to provide for themselves and their families. I founded a social enterprise with the concept Transform your skin, Transform a Community. The vision of Shea Yeleen International is to help women in rural West Africa overcome the challenges of poverty through the production and sale of high quality shea butter. The Calm After the Storm

It’s Thursday and I am so happy! The week started off in dismay, and now the sun has finally started peeping through the clouds. It never ceases to amaze me how one day things are turned upside down, and the next day runs as smooth as pudding! This week was full of excellent surprises. Not only did I land a great interview, but also got the biggest order for body butter EVER. YIPPEE SKIPPIE! I am taking a break from making the gift bags, and I have to say this is a proud moment. So to anyone who… Continue

Frazzled

I have an important meeting on Monday morning and instead of preparing I have been eating myself into a coma. When I woke up I started with 4 oatmeal raisin cookies with a cup of tea. Then for lunch I picked up about 3 cups of rice with a rich vegetable stew at a Senegalese restaurant. You would think this was a healthy choice but the meal was heavy with palm oil. Not too long after I was staring at my draft proposal while shoving more cookies in my mouth along with a liter of coke. I am not a b… Continue

Precious TWHP Sister:
Come back, come out where ever you are,
The White House Project is a forum for women leaders and stars.
There is plenty of social media but none quite like this,
A special place for women to edify, protest, lament or share in bliss.
Thinking of you all especially during my prayers today.
So I am taking a proactive moment to send blessings your way,
Life zips by quickly and exceedingly fast,
I am not quite sure if I will be here tomorrow or if my ailing heart will last.
I don’t want another moment to pass without saying to you,
How appreciative I am --thank you for being who you are--- and for all you do!
You are incredible women of courageous and noble deeds,
You have nurtured many souls and planted invaluable life-changing seeds.
May your life be anointed with abundance and happiness,
I am sending you all my love, special encouragement and my very best.
Always & Forever

I am working in a document about unemployment and the economic crisis. I am sure we have to reorganize the marketing strategies and reinvent our economy.
