Thank you Meg and Laurie. Both of your ideas are on the line of what I was thinking. Our City Administrator wants to meet with each of us council members to get our feedback on each department head and then meet with each department head. There ar...

Hi Marian, Our council just went thru this but since it was our first time as a city it was a little rocky. Of course employee evaluation sessions are closed, which for some reason our council couldn't get. Anyway.....we had a two way evaluation....

We moved in this direction when I was on Greenwood Village City Council, it is very important that a standarized evaluation system be developed. The Council should only evaluate the City Administrator, I think we had the Mayor do the evaluation an...

I am looking for what other cities are doing for evaluations of department heads. We have a city administrator. The council is trying to set up evaluations for department heads and no one seems to know how it should be done. I feel that the counci...

Valerie, I am so impressed with you taking on the challenge of running for Mayor of Albany. No small town. As I just wrote another candidate, connect with the people. Not all will call you all of the time, but they want to be able to trust that th...

First off, I am so proud of you for taking on this challenge. I was just elected to the city council for my city last November. Our cities are so different and yet in some ways are the same. My city has only a population of 23,000. The thing that ...

I'm sorry Stephanie, I am just finding time to catch up with this site. How is your campaign doing? I know where Aurora is and used to have a friend who lived there. A really nice town. I guess that I never realized that it was the second largest ...

In 100 words or less tell us how you are a leader
I was elected to the Austin City Council Ward 3 seat on November 4, 2008. What an amazing thing. I am already getting the word out on meetings to the people of my ward and not sworn in. They are greatful and showing up to voice their views. Just why I ran. I am also learning from all of you and how your cities and towns are doing things. I may be taking some of your cities ideas with me. I will be happy to tell you what work that I did to get elected.

Can you support to petition to add Judge Ann Claire Williams, Judge Sonia Sotomayor and Judge Marjorie Rendell to the president's shortlist for the US Supreme Court?

Hi! I was wondering why you were opposed to a dog park in your neighborhood? My dog really enjoys the dog park.

Will you be attending Debate Camp in the Twin Cities or the Iron Range? I am attending. Just to brush up on answering questions without the "um" and renewing that positive view that Whitehouse helps with.

How is it going Marian? How's the campaign? Balancing it well with the rest of your life or has it consumed you? I hope you are finding people as receptive as I did.

You go girl!

Women Rule!
Warmest welcome from a sister and friend,
Who will stand with you in spirit to the very end.
What a powerful witness you have to share,
So know that this sister will lift you up with prayers.
Be encouraged and hopeful in every way,
Feel free to whisper, sing or shout joyfully throughout the day:
Women rule!
If we band together in one clear voice,
We can crescendo together in a joyful noise.
The melody of women, who collaborate and work together,
Will send a resounding message that will last forever.
Women rule!

PS: Please feel free to grace my page with your words of wisdom, a poem, a thought or even a kind word of encouragement for all women to see. Blessings to you now and always!
