Profile Information

In 100 words or less tell us how you are a leader
Cornell West best summarizes why I believe I am a leader- " In order to lead our people you must love our people, in order to save our people you must serve our people." I believe that you cannot truly and authenically serve the community without loving the people you're called to serve. I do this by asking the hard questions, by standing when others haven't learned to stand on their own, by speaking life and by hope of the unseen. I know what can happen when one person does not believe the report of the nay sayers. They see that the unseen is within their reach.

Can you support to petition to add Judge Ann Claire Williams, Judge Sonia Sotomayor and Judge Marjorie Rendell to the president's shortlist for the US Supreme Court?

Girl... I am stressing over here because I have so much to do. I emailed one of the Harvard ladies and she didn't email me back. Hoping she didn't overhear the comment that I made to you guys :) I think I would have been quite offended myself if someone said that about me... anyhow.... something to work on. I have got to learn how to keep my big trapper shut sometimes. lol I don't know what happens. I just get to talking and it all just comes out. Very hard to hide what I am feeling about someone or a situation. And, students do have power/pull, I was just shocked that they hadn't met their Dean yet... that's all. So to answer your question, no, I don't think that I am any closer to Harvard, but I have still got my fingers crossed. What's happening in your neck of the woods? Did you make it to the Congressional Black Caucus events?

Hey girl:

I agree. Sorry I have not called you yet. Things have been so crazy since work started. This week is the last week of the 110th Congress and CBC week. But I will be in touch tonight. Can't wait to chat.
