Profile Information

In 100 words or less tell us how you are a leader
I am an active political and community leader in Colorado. I am currently a state legislator and served on our state board of education for 3 1/2 years. Also, I help train women to successfully run for elective office. As a former county party chair, I have worked at the grassroots level to win elections and organize voters. I enjoy bringing people together to work hard and get the job done.

Hi, Karen, On May I was in Denver for the Annual Association of Gospel Rescue Mission - AGRM. I visited Aurora for some hours and I love it. You are doing a great job representing us in your community and as a state legislator. I wish you more success in your professional career. Congratulations!

Karen, I would love to get in contact with you. I have been looking at getting more involved in the community. I have been actively involved registering people to vote and campaigning. I look forward to speaking with you.

Karen-Welcome! I am a volunteer lobbyist with the American Heart Association. I am sure you see our presence at the capitol at least twice a year when a "sea of red" emerges on the capitol steps! I applaud you for being a woman in politics and affecting change that improves women's lives.

Women Rule!
Warmest welcome from a sister and friend,
Who will stand with you in spirit to the very end.
What a powerful witness you have to share,
So know that this sister will lift you up with prayers.
Be encouraged and hopeful in every way,
Feel free to whisper, sing or shout joyfully throughout the day:
Women rule!
If we band together in one clear voice,
We can crescendo together in a joyful noise.
The melody of women, who collaborate and work together,
Will send a resounding message that will last forever.
Women rule!

PS: Please feel free to grace my page with your words of wisdom, a poem, a thought or even a kind word of encouragement for all women to see. Blessings to you now and always!
