Power Mommies
(A poem for all of the power mommies on the White House Project)

Our days are long, the thanks are few but there is something special about what we do,
We wake up at the crack of dawn; pray for wisdom and guidance so we can make it through.
We fax our bid, finish a dozen emails and whip up breakfast and yeah--sometimes burn the toast.
We change many diapers, pack up backpacks while we answer calls from coast to coast.

We are power mommies, that is what we do,
We are power mommies, through and through.

We glance at our Outlook, while we read the latest report,
But our focus stays constant while our sons play on their fort.
We never set an appointment without careful consideration,
To ensure we help our daughters with their report on the United Nations.

We are power mommies, that is what we do,
We are power mommies through and through.

There are days when we are exhausted beyond measure,
Truth be told for us, our motivation is but a heartfelt treasure.
We purpose in our lives to be vibrant professionals and great mothers,
We can do just about anything—heck-- even go undercover!

We are power mommies, that is what we do,
We are power mommies through and through.

We can do just about anything but sometimes encouragement and compliments are few,
Whether it is guiding huge corporations or serving the homeless with our crew,
We come in all shapes and sizes and beautiful colors galore,
We are inspiring and gifted so watch out cause there is so much more!

We are power mommies, that is what we do,
We are power mommies through and through.

To be continued……….

Hi there! I am cancer free at the moment and just reached my one year survivor mark! Yeah! You are so right about the overall well-being as it relates to one's health. Do you have a web site?

Women Rule!
Welcome from a sister and friend,
Who will stand beside you to the end.
What a powerful witness you have to share,
So know that I will lift you up in my many prayers.
Be encouraged and hopeful in every way,
But remember to whisper or even shout throughout the day:
Women rule!
Warmest Regards,
Asahi (Rising-Sun)

PS: Please grace my page with your words of wisdom, a poem, a thought or even a kind word of encouragement for all women to see. Blessings to you!

Hi Jocelyn, I also help people try to develop their self-healing abilities... I have healed myself of several chronic illnesses by learning about the mind/body connection. I would love to get to know you better! I am going to go check out your website now.... My main blog is Heal Pain Naturally
Gratefully,
Jenny

Hi Jocelyn! Welcome to the Network. There are a lot of encouraging, successful and empowered women on the site. Are you familiar with lymphatic massage? I am a breast cancer survivor and my Dr. has warned me against traditional massage but I disagree because I don't have any lymphedmea signs at the present.
I would also like for you to join my Pink Ribbon Leaders group on the site. We discuss hollistic health.
