Birds of a Feather

When I was younger my mother used to tell me that "birds of a feather, flocked together." I was not particularly interested in the meaning behind the saying at the time but I have come to realize that your life and the things that you are truly dedicated to, show up in who you are associated with and who you choose to spend your time and life energies around.
Earlier this year I had the great honor to be chosen as one of 15 "Women of Achievement" in the state of Georgia by the YWCA. As I read my… Continue

Hi Dawn,
Sorry it's taken me so long to connect with you. You mentioned something about joining your community network but I didn't find it on your site. Prior to living in TX, I also lived in GA. I would love to connect with you and see how we might collaborate.

Hi Dawn:

By the way, my new year's resolutions are to find work that allows me to contribute to the world and utilize my skills and passions to the fullest. Your network gives me some inspiration that this can happen. Happy New Year!

Hi Dawn:

It is very interesting to learn about your work. I had never heard about you, but clearly I have been missing something here. You are touching upon so many areas of life that affect me.... parenting, relationships, work.... and affect many other women. I look forward to networking and learning much more about your work.

Hi Dawn.

It's nice hearing from you. Unfortunately we could not connect or talk when i visited the US in October. I should be there again sometime in Feb next year. Let's hope we can surely meet or talk on phone the next time.

I have also been following some reviews of the Slumdog Millionaire. I believe it portrays the under belly of Mumbai. Many of us are looking forward to this movie in India as well. Mumbai is such a beautiful city. The recent terror attacks have caused many of us to be become more stronger, united and resilient against any form of violence, terrorism and public apathy.

If you plan to visit India, you must make a stop to Mumbai. Let me know, i can assist you with local logistical support.

Take care.

Rufina.

Hi Dawn. It was a pleasure meeting you at the WHP. We had some great conversations. I ma just wondering what you are up to and if you needed help with military connection still? Also. I have a consulting company myself now specializing in green initiatives, government contracts, business plan writing/strategy and leadership. Happy thoughts with you!

Hi Dawn!

I'm sorry I missed your phone call after I joined the Heart Link website. I'm a team captain for the Orlando Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk here on Saturday and we've had some big fundraisers, the last of which is tonight, that have kept me pretty busy in the hours that I'm not at work! However, this will all settle down a bit after this weekend is over. I promise you I WILL get back online and have a close look at your website and perhaps then we can talk in more detail!

Thank you so much for your leadership!

Hi Dawn.

Thanks for being my 'first' friend on the White House Project network.

I am scheduled to be in Virginia for a conference between the 13th and 17th October. We can have a brief chat and exchange notes. I would be reachable on +1 415 5184394.

I've got a picture to load but I'm technologically challenged, just give me a few more hours and it will be up. Love you too! If you want to talk WOW, talk DAWN. She's the best! Anyway, this is a picture I took on the way to Glamour Shots (I should have kept going). Got side tracked by a wonderful shoe sale.

Dear Dawn:

You are such a talented woman! I loved your poem to Elizabeth and it caught me in a time when I am doubting my own personal worth with some big hurdles to overcome in the coming months.

I will be returning to the workforce after recovering from major depressive disorder, trying to lose some weight so I can be in better physical shape and just generally feeling both mentally and physically "up" to returning to work.

Your website is truly one of the best on the web!

Thanks for the inspiration.
