Hi, my name is Crystal Kauffman (Pen name: Imogen Rayne). I am a Freelance Copywriter and Founder of the Laugh at Cancer Support Community. You can out a little more about me and the support community, please visit www.laughatcancer.com

I am a proud mother of three beautiful children and a handsome stepson. Thankfully, I will be celebrating my six-year anniversary of being a cancer survivor in April 2008. The aggressive treatment left me disabled, which has made it harder to find employment. I am actively seeking full-time employment with a company thatwill allow me to telecommute from my home.

Hello Crystal,
I just received your e mail and of course I will be your friend. You are doing a wonderful thing by bringing laughter into the lives of people who are suffering from such a scary and devastating illness. I am so glad to hear you are a survivor and I bet your positive attitude helped you get through the tough time. My Mom passed away 9 years ago from colon cancer and at the time we were so frightened for her and really did not know how to help her deal with it. I think a suuport group geared to help people laugh and find the time to maybe forget about what they are going through even if it is for a short time, is so heartwarming. Stay well and keep in touch.

Hey Crystal.
I like the idea of laughing at cancer.
It should be the first thing on the list of treatment and coping skills.

Thank you Crystal! Oh, and I loved your F.R.O.G. My Dad at one time drove truck and his call sign was Bullfrog. I have heard this the whole time I grew up even though he quit trucking when I was born. My children have grown up hearing this as well, so every frog they see is a Papa frog. I sent the pic to my Mom and she loved it. She wants to put that on some shirts for the kids and Papa to wear. Thanks, you brought a smile to our faces today. Have a great day!!!

Hello Crystal! I just wanted to pop on and say what a great thing you are doing. With the world overwrought with cancer, the supportive contributions your organization give are so wonderful. Thank you for all that you are, and all that you do!

Women Rule!
Welcome from a sister and friend,
Who will stand beside you to the end.
What a powerful witness you have to share,
So know that I will lift you up in my many prayers.
Be encouraged and hopeful in every way,
But remember to whisper or even shout throughout the day:
Women rule!
Warmest Regards,
Asahi (Rising-Sun)

PS: Please grace my page with your words of wisdom, a poem, a thought or even a kind word of encouragement for all women to see. Blessings to you!

Is it really a glass ceiling or is it impenetrable Plexiglas? Is it a carefully fashioned allusion keeping us POC’s hopeful, making us believe we truly have access so we will stay in line? What has been your experience as a woman of color?

A place to explore the interchange of faith, gender and social activism. What does it mean to be a woman of faith in these times? What does our faith say about our struggles as women and creators?
