Precious TWHP Sister:
Come back, come out where ever you are,
The White House Project is a forum for women leaders and stars.
There is plenty of social media but none quite like this,
A special place for women to edify, protest, lament or share in bliss.
Thinking of you all especially during my prayers today.
So I am taking a proactive moment to send blessings your way,
Life zips by quickly and exceedingly fast,
I am not quite sure if I will be here tomorrow or if my ailing heart will last.
I don’t want another moment to pass without saying to you,
How appreciative I am --thank you for being who you are--- and for all you do!
You are incredible women of courageous and noble deeds,
You have nurtured many souls and planted invaluable life-changing seeds.
May your life be anointed with abundance and happiness,
I am sending you all my love, special encouragement and my very best.
Always & Forever

Catherine, Thanks for responding and so soon! I am so thankful for what the White House Project is doing. Not only is it important for women to become active in the political process, it is important for us to begin to integrate current feminist academic thought with alternative news sources and personal experience and begin to talk with one another about policies that will initiate real, healthy change in our political system. Yes we can, creates a crack in the system of staying the same. Thank you for your training at Michigan Go Run. I think I came in late and missed some of your instructions. When I did the process you walked us through I was not doing it for a political stump speech, I was just folllowing the process to find out about me. When I learned it was to be the basis of a stump speech, the proess made a deep connection in me. When one person from each table was to go forward the four under 30 women at my table were bantering with each other, you do it, you do..., but they were not includung me in the bantering. As I watched, I had enough time to decide that maybe I need to do this once in a very safe place. Thank you for the process and the safe place. I also went to the security component which was great and I was surprise at the few who went to that segment. I am unemployed at present so I have alot of time to read and plan. I have a blog on blogspot which I bagan Feb. 29, 2008. It has been a way for me begin to write about what it would mean for me to be President. The blog is LindaBPrez. I have read in the last six weeks maybe fifteen books. All have moved me forward at a fastpace (one is H.A.R. Gibb's Mohammedanism, An Historical Survey, 1950.) I listen to Democracy Now daily. For the past five years, I have listened to MPR almost seven days a week at my organic coffee shop which I sold to someone who has now let me go. (I also worked in construction for a year and was the gereral contractor for building a spec house for a partner and myself.) Thank you for taking the time to talk with me at the RNC. I have applied for the fellowship for the Center for Progressive Leadership in Michigan and we will see where that goes. I'm excited. The thing I realized this week is that people are really afraid to share the "failures" in their life. I think it is from failure we can really learn and move forward!! I hoped this administration would take a deeper look for change. If it does not we as Women need to do the work fast and be prepared for the next election! Happy Holidays! Thanks again, Linda

Hello, dear Catherine!
I've been wanting to thank you for those Love Mittens ever since my elevator pitch meltdown in the lobby of The Affinia. You truly are a gentle and kind leader. Thanks for being there for me.
How can I check out your films?

Women Rule!
Warmest welcome from a sister and friend,
Who will stand with you in spirit to the very end.
What a powerful witness you have to share,
So know that this sister will lift you up with prayers.
Be encouraged and hopeful in every way,
Feel free to whisper, sing or shout joyfully throughout the day:
Women rule!
If we band together in one clear voice,
We can crescendo together in a joyful noise.
The melody of women, who collaborate and work together,
Will send a resounding message that will last forever.
Women rule!

PS: Please feel free to grace my page with your words of wisdom, a poem, a thought or even a kind word of encouragement for all women to see. Blessings to you now and always!

(www.theamoshouseoffaith.org) When you get a chance visit my page. We are working on a capital campaign to obtain a building to housde the caretakers as well as run the After Burns Club program.

I love the image of Love Mittens! I know that one of the strengths I need to develop is softer management skills. I hope to have the opportunity to connect with and learn from you. Thank you for your inspiration...

Profile Information

In 100 words or less tell us how you are a leader
When I started a business in construction in Houston, TX, I didn't really know what I was getting into. I did well because I knew what I didn't know, I found people who did know and asked them to join me. When I became a filmmaker, I approached it the same way. As a leader, I stir the pot, form alliances and jump with all my heart, not necessarily in that order. Usually it works. Sometimes it doesn't. But that's part of it, too. Now I am on the staff of The White House Project. People tell me I guide others with Love Mittens. I like hearing that.
