In 100 words or less tell us how you are a leader
When asked this question I start to think of the things I am involved in, but my positions in life do not make me a leader. I am a leader because I am strong, and willing to listen to others. I am a leader because I care about the world around me. And I am a leader because I choose to be. I choose to make a difference.

Are you on Facebook and LinkedIn?

I would like to connect with you there also. I am trying to make more friends and fans so that I can spread awareness for breast cancer during pregnancy. I was diagnosed Stage 3 in the 5th month of my pregnancy in May. My status updates on Facebook and LinkedIn are usually about my fight.

Hello Audrey! I just wanted to see how your summer is going, and get some feedback from you on the first participant in the Maximized mentorship program--Synergy boot camp.

We posted the areas in which Beatrice and her partners are looking for direction in, and it is all listed on her page within the groups site. Feel free to comment on as many of the areas you have ideas or suggestions on.

If you have any questions or comments regarding the group, our purpose or the first participating project I would love to hear them.

Hope you are doing well! I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

No problem Audrey...the more the merrier! Right now we are just waiting for Bea, the first participant, to load up her data to the site and then from there we will figure up what needs to be done and assign tasks, etc.

Keep watching the site, and let me know if you have any questions in the interim!

Have a great night and I will talk to you soon!

Hi Audrey! The event is a celebration of Women's Equality and it is being held in Lansing on August 26th.

I got the information on this site, and when I find it I will send it to you. Perhaps if you can make it then we can have lunch.

What drew you to the White House Project? I always ask because it is so interesting to hear all the different ways we were drawn in. Essentially it was the desire for change in some way shape or form, and that is exciting. For me, I structured my non profit company almost two years ago, and I just got stuck...had never taken that type of venture before as everything else was a profitable company. This is so different as it affects the world, and there is so much to do, and so little time in the day...I just needed a push in the right direction. I may not have made the cut for the WHP training, but some women and I decided to create our own program within this network to get things done for us, so I feel just as lucky to have a network of awesome women to work with.

Take care and I will send you the information on that event. Don't forget to jump on and check out our Maximized program.

Ah, so you know the craziness of the Marine Corps!!! It is always great to meet a fellow sister. The things we put up with...man; I am happy to do so though, and my husband has just a little over 5 years before he retires, so it will be worth it. I take from your comment that your husband is already out of the Corps...such an interesting life we military wives lead.

Thank you for getting back with me. I think we will be great friends. Check out all of the programs listed on the groups and feel free to jump right in. There are a lot of things that are going to happen because of this opportunity to network and meet other women on the move.

You are not that far from me, so we will have to plan a shopping trip or something to get some of us Michiganders together. I hope I said that right. Being a temporary transplant to this state is a bit odd after living on a base for over ten years. Are you going to the Women's event being held in Lansing in August? I plan to, so maybe that will be a great time to meet up. Take care and I will talk to you soon!

Hello Audrey! I was drawn to your profile as it is a perfect example of who a leader is and how they are perceived as a leader. A lot of people, even me at times, gets caught up in their life titles, but when I thought about what you said in your profile I realized that leaders are chosen and looked to because of what they do and how they treat people, and not necessarily because of who they are or what role they play. Thank you for reminding of this.
